EU Securitisation Repositories Enter the Final Stage for Authorisation
Congratulations to both European DataWarehouse (EDW) and SecRep B.V. (SecRep) for entering the last stage of the Securitisation Repository (SR) assessment process under the Securitisation Regulation.
The European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA) announced on the 26th of April 2021 that it has 40 working days to finalise its assessment of the SRs. If approved, EDW and SecRep will be subsequently formally registered as SRs within 5 working days. This would trigger the obligation for all EU public ABS transactions issued since 1st January 2019 to report into an SR.
